Interview
What are the foundations of your research (Art
identities)?
If the "way" of making art has been continuously changing for over a century, what has really changed today is the way of observing it and relating to it. My research analyzes the relationship we currently have with |' observed "object", the experience of meaning (the experienceable in fact) mediated by current communication tools. The progressive loss of critical sense, reasoning ability and "logos" are in fact closely linked to the profound changes that have taken place in the field of communication, with the exponential growth and the qualitative transformation of its tools.
Who are the artists who have guided you in your research?
Gino de dominicis, Vincenzo Agnetti, Tano Festa in the field of visual arts; as regards literature instead Guy Debord (absolute forerunner in the careful analysis of the drift of society we are witnessing), Pier Paolo Pasolini and many others.
Define yourself as a human being using three adjectives.
"Heretic", "erratic" (little), "erotic" cit.
According to your vision, where is contemporary art going and where would you like it to go?
Very difficult question to answer without falling into the trap of rhetoric, we are certainly going through one of the darkest moments in western culture, art has always been the expression of contemporary values and/or tensions. A decorator is the product of a certain social system, while the artist, as I see it, should hate the power he suffers by reinventing and unhinging the contradictions of society itself from within.
